Afin d’offrir une solution aux parents qui en ont besoin et d’aider le réseau, la Direction régionale de l'accès aux services médicaux de première ligne du Département régional de médecine générale a mis sur pied un nouveau numéro de téléphone direct (514 890-6111), afin d’offrir des rendez-vous rapidement avec un médecin de famille aux enfants de 0 à 16 ans de la région montréalaise qui en ont besoin et qui n’ont pas immédiatement accès à un médecin de famille. 

Il est à noter que ce service perdurera sur un horizon de quelques mois, selon le contexte. Le DRMG nous tiendra informés et nous pourrons vous aviser à l'avance de la fin du service. D'ici là, le 514 890-6111 est une excellente ressource à avoir sous la main pour tous les parents montréalais!

Emergency departments in pediatric hospitals and throughout the network
should be reserved for patients who are seriously ill or injured.
Cases typically prioritized in children are:
• Diculty breathing
• Severe injury, fracture or need for stitches
• Vomiting as  result of injury
• Fever over 38°C (100.4°F) in  child younger than three months of age
• Fever with drowsiness
• Rash with skin that does not turn white when pressed
• Diarrhe and vomiting, no tears, very dry mouth and decreased urination
(fewer than three times in the last 24 hours)
