Les maisons transitionnelles O3 is a charitable organization. O3’s mission is to help young and vulnerable families achieve their goals. We do this by providing affordable transitional housing and support services.
O3 stands for “On Our Own”. It is a program for young parents (particularly single moms) with young children. The program aims to help young parents take steps to build their future and make a better life for themselves and for their children. 

 

 

 

YOU CAN OR MAY BE A CONDIDATE FOR 03 IF YOU MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA 

 

 
you are between the age of 16-24
you have a child or children under the age of 5
you qualify for government sponsored subsidized housing
you want to become independent and gain valuable life skills
you want to provide your family with stability
you are ready to sign a Social Contract which outlines your commitments responsibilities as a member of the O3 community
 
 

 

THE O3 PROGRAM OFFERS RESIDENTS

 

 
Parent-child activities  
Help going back to school and/or finding a job.  
Program to help you manage your money.  
Help connecting with community resources.  
Resident-led committees Workshops on:  communication, conflict resolution, anger management, coping Skills, leadership Skills
 
 


 

PROGRAMING

 

O3 offers its residents a wide variety of programming. Some programs are mandatory, meaning all residents must participate, while other programs are attended on a voluntary basis. Regardless, all programs focus on important parenting and general life skills.

  • Mandatory programs: Parenting, Mom and Tot, Pre-Reading, Budgeting, Resident Meetings and Committee Meetings (Each O3 resident sits on one of four committees; The Social Activities Committee, The Fundraising Committee , Special Events Committee or The Action Committee)
