In 1942, a number of community groups in the Notre Dame de Grace district of Montreal came together to discuss a matter of great common concern. Since its founding almost 70 years ago, the Council has tackled the problems of the NDG community and continues to do so in today’s context. Issues are always emerging and there is never a shortage of activities or initiatives. This year, in commemoration of the Council’s anniversary we will be showcasing its achievements since 1942

The Green, Active, Healthy Neighbourhoods project in Southeastern NDG aims to redesign streets and public spaces for pedestrians and cyclists. The plan, developed between June 2010 and November 2011, involved a series of participatory activities where residents met with the project’s team and discussed proposed design solutions for their neighbourhood.
