Logo CMTQThe NDG Community Council is one of 29 " Tables de quartier" on the Island of Montreal that are local organisation networks working on social development (click here to find out more about the Tables de Quartier). However, the Council has a unique structure because all seats on the Board are held by NDG residents. Some Board members also work for other organizations in NDG but they do not represent those organizations at the table de quartier NDG.

NDG Round Table

The Council gives organisations in NDG a space to network and discuss issues of interest in the community through its Round Table Meetings. Since 2005, the Round Table meetings have been organised 4 times a year.

Round Table MeetingThese gatherings  are attended by workers from more than 30 NDG organizations in various sectors (e.g seniors, youth, employment, food security). Having the chance to discuss our work together is a way to coordinate our efforts to improve the quality of life in NDG. It allows us to identify and discuss strategies in response to issues that affect us all.

Round Table meetings are organized by a committee of community workers from various organizations and institutions. If you are interested in helping to organize these meetings or in attending them as a representative of your organization, please contact Catherine Thibault at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. NDG 2020 Public Assembly

Through the 2020 Public Assemblies, we provide a space for residents and organisations to work together on issues of importance in the neighbourhood. A regular public meeting where local groups and citizens come together to discuss issues affecting the NDG community. The evening usually has two parts:

Public Assembly 2020

- it usually begins with a “Community Exchange” in which community workers and volunteers announce new initiatives and present reports on their activities
- the second part of the evening is a "Mini-forum" where important issues are presented and discussed

Getting Involved !

If you are an NDG resident or interested in NDG issues, please come along to listen, and enter into the discussion. You can also help organize the events by joining the NDG 2020 Support Committee.

If you are involved in an NDG organization, you can help put together a mini-forum discussion or use the Community Exchange period to share news about upcoming projects with residents and other community workers . You can also volunteer with the NDG 2020 Support Committee and help plan, organize, and advertise the assemblies.
