The NDG Community Council e-letter “What’s happening in NDG” is a tool for community organizations to reach out to the community-at-large. Without the input of members of this community, the letter would not exist. The e-letter was an initiative of the Council based on recommendations at the first Round Table Meeting in November 2005.

The letter started informally in December 2005, when it was sent occasionally when needed. Since then the e-letter has developed into a weekly Newsletter with around 50 issues per year. We send it every Thursday, except during the months of July and August when we send it once a month.

Currently the e-letter reaches 686 NDGers and those who work or serve NDG 118 members ( individuals and organisations ), 266 groups ( community organisations , schools, institutes , political representatives , funders and government representatives), 45 media ( French and English ), and 257 individuals.

This year the e-letter was also available on our website www.ndg.ca

We strongly encourage organizations to share the e-letter with their members. However, due to rising requests, as well as, an increased amount of information to process, putting out the e-letter is becoming a weekly challenge.
